SULPHATYLOZIN Description: a powder a pale yellow colour, hard dissolved in water. Composition: the preparation contains operating substance of sulfadimidine, trimethoprim, tylosin tatrtate, oxitetra
Pharmacological properties: components which are a part of a preparation, cause its wide spectrum of antibacterial activity in relation to gram-positive (Stapfylococcus spp., Streptococcus spp., Clostridium spp., Campylobacter spp.) and gram-negative bacteria (E. coli, Bordetella spp., Salmonella spp., Klebsiella spp., Pasterella spp., Proteus spp., Campylobacter), and ray fungus, leptospirs, mycoplasms, rickettsia, spirochaetes and some viruses. The sulfadimidine blocks getting p-amino-benzoic acid by microorganisms and stops synthesis of folic acid. The trimetoprim inhibits dihydrofolatreductase of bacteria in 50000 times more effective, than corresponding enzyme of animals. This enzyme restores dihydrofolic acid in tetradihydrofolic acid which is the intermediate stage in synthesis of purines, and accordingly and DNA. The sulfadimidine and trimethoprim consistently block this process, considerably improving action each other (synergism). Antibiotics of oxitetracycline hydrochloride and tylosin tartrate has a high bacteriostatic activity. The complex preparation has a wide spectrum of bactericidal and bacteriostatic actions, including against microorganisms resistant to separate antibiotics and chemotherapeutic preparations. At introduction the preparation is quickly absorbed in blood and gets into all bodies and tissues of animals.
Species: cattle, horses, goats, sheep, swine, dogs, cats, rabbits, hens.
Indication: the sulphatylozin is applied for treatment and preventive maintenance of animals, at primary and secondary bacterial infections of respiratory and gastrointestinal tracts, urinogenital ways, catarrhs of top respiratory ways, diseases: cystitis, mastitis, septeritis, septicemia, postnatal complications and specific infections (colibacillosis, pasteurellosis, leptospirosis, mycoplasmosis, vibriosis, dysentery, physiognomy, and oedema).
Dosage: the sulphatylozin is given to animals with a forage or having dissolved in water (milk) twice per day in a dose of 1,2-1,5 g on 10 kg of weight of a body with an interval of 12 hours. Treatments are carried out to disappearance of clinical symptoms of disease and throughout two next days.
Contra-indication: the sulphatylozin is not applied to hens-layers, and also animals at infringement of function of bodies of blood circulation, liver and kidneys.
Caution: the slaughter is permitted for the food purposes in 10 days; milk is used in 5 days after last application of the preparation. In case of the compelled slaughter before a target date, meat can be used in a forage to animals or for manufacture of meat-bone flour.
